Bio::
Influenced by the sounds of the Eagles, John Denver, Brooks & Dunn, FFH, and good old Southern Rock, the musical sounds of JT Phillips reaches out to all age groups through an eclectic mix of material that speaks of life’s journey.

Born in Alabama, JT spent his formidable years raised in California in the heart of the San Joaquin valley. Music has always been a part of JT’s life from performing solos, at an early age, to singing lead in a Southern Gospel Quartet at the age of 17. JT’s music continued as he entered college as a vocal major with great success until he turned from his musical passion as he strayed from the plan God had for him.

As the years passed, JT continued his journey chasing life and looking for a peace that only God could fill. This journey has taken JT across many rocky roads and taught him numerous lessons about the grace and mercy of God. It ultimately began shaping his return to his God-given desire and passion for sharing his life stories and message of God’s grace through contemporary Christian and original music.

In 2002, JT began to fully realize that he had been running from God and an acknowledgement of that call into Christian music. God began showing JT that he had a plan for JT’s life and reminded JT of the passage in Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Over the next two years JT and his wife, a Virginia Beach native, would form Trust'n Him Ministries for this purpose.

In 2006, JT fully surrendered to God's call in Christian music and has been given opportunities to perform for numerous audiences in venues that have included faith-based venues as well as venues that are not faith-based. JT has performed at festivals and in 2007 was given the privilege to perform for the Arena Racing "Faith" night in the Scope Coliseum in Norfolk, Virginia and the "Total Women's Show" in the Virginia Beach Convention Center.

JT has been featured in the Church and Good News Guide, November 2006, and is described as a contemporary Christian music artist with a passion for the young at heart. His voice is powerful and compelling and JT’s story resonates as a creative writer while his distinctive voice communicates the love of Christ.

JT shares his music and lyrical stories throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
