Welcome to another new year! We hope and pray that this year will be a turning point in your life and that God will show Himself to you in ways you could never imagine. You know we serve a great God that has plans for each of us. All we are required to do to realize that plan is keep Him first in everything that we do.

That seems so simplistic doesn't it? So how come it's so hard for us to do that? I mean, really, the hard part was finished some 2000 years ago when the Father sent His son Jesus to us. As hard as it is to comprehend (and sometimes it is) - Jesus gave up the throne of heaven to walk among us on this earth and then complete the greatest love story that could be writen when He took on our sin and was crucified on the cross.

Now, I am not going to write and tell you how this could be or why it happened -- it still blows my mind daily as I think about it. If you are trying to comprehend this from our human perspective - don't! This is a gift from God and as hard as we might try there is no way for us to understand the mind of God.

Interestingly enough, God even tells us that in Isaiah 55:7-8:

"Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the LORD, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon. For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways, says the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.".
